NYO Open

Our teenage musicians share their passion for music to inspire hundreds of others in local primary and secondary schools each year.

We were so excited to welcome you into school and to have the opportunity to showcase live orchestral music to our students who would never have the chance to see live music in this way otherwise.
Daniel Corrigan
Head of music, Radclyffe School

Each year, our musicians give six days of their time to share music with other young people Our changemakers play, mentor and inspire others to make music a big part of their lives.

NYO Play the School

NYO Play the School is a high-octane musical collaboration between a secondary school and our musicians.

We work with school music teachers and students to shape a day of activity that excites and inspires your students. Each Play The School project includes engaging workshops and musical exchanges, and culminates in a powerful large scale symphonic performance.

Play The School is free to secondary schools and music hubs.

NYO Local

NYO Local sees our musicians take their instrument and their love of music into a local primary school to inspire others and develop their own mentoring skills.

Through fun activities, primary school children get possibly their first experience of orchestral music from another young person.
