I started the violin relatively late and my family did not have exposure to classical music. By joining an orchestra and being inspired by my friends and peers around me, I worked hard and fell in love with the violin. Through NYO Inspire and outreach projects, I want to share my passion for orchestral music with other young musicians.\u201d Hiya, Violin, Cardiff<\/p><p>\u201cI&#8217;m looking forward to the energy of live performances and the joy that comes from connecting with others through music. The Orchestra is a powerful reflection of the diversity and potential of young people across the UK. For the 2025 season, 50% of leadership roles within the Orchestra are held by female musicians.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">48% of the Orchestra of 2025, including NYO Associates, are alumni of<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyo.org.uk\/get-involved\/nyo-inspire\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">NYO Inspire<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, a free programme for young people who want to make music a bigger part of their lives but face barriers and a lack of opportunity to progress. NYO Associates are identified during the audition process, as brilliant, driven musicians who would thrive from the opportunity to broaden their musical experience with the Orchestra.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:250}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The first activity of 2025 will be NYO Unite, where the entire NYO community of teenage musicians join together for a series of music making activities across the UK, alongside young musicians in their local area.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In January, the Orchestra of 2025 will embark on the <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Illuminate<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\"> tour in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyo.org.uk\/performances\/barbican-2025\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">London<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyo.org.uk\/performances\/warwick-arts-centre\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Coventry<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyo.org.uk\/performances\/nottingham\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Nottingham<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, playing extraordinary orchestral music to audiences across the country.
