Here you can find the excerpts for auditions for NYO 2025. Orchestral excerpts are an important part of your auditions and are chosen so that you can demonstrate your exploration and understanding of orchestral musicianship. They also enable the panel to establish how players of differing standards address the technical and musical challenges in the same repertoire.

You can also use these to determine if you feel you’re playing at around the standard to audition for NYO.
